I think the V2 is just a improved version of the old Power drive

Also the Terrova has a easier to use latching system to deploy and stow and also has a digital type motor and a built in maximizer so it uses less battery current than the PD,s do

Also the foot is larger diameter so you have a larger brush turning it which translates to efficiency and longevity.

Just got a Terrova and don't know what I did without it till now. The variable speed is a battery savin deal and it is very easy to deploy. I took the head of mine off and re-routed the transducer cable into the "slot" on the shaft.

Plus, if you call MinnKota and give them MY name, they'll special configure the "WB Single Fish" system smack into your motor. Don't cost a thing xtra, neither. Last time I checked they was bout out so you better hurry.

From what I'm reading, they have the same mount and motor...?

I don't think your reading right.....the motors on the PD's are not digital and they do not have the built in maximizer therefore the battery run time on them is a lot less than on the terrova. Get a Terrova.....they are worth the difference in cost, by far better TM's......... just ask Scott, he swapped is PD out for a Terrova.
