I pull ball head type jigs with #2 hooks in either 1/16th or 1/32nd weights. I hardly ever fish any water more than 20' deep and I longline 12 months a year. Here's 1 box of the jig bodies I use (Southern Pro Hot Grubs and look alikes)...

    Default This works

I have had some decent luck using these 1/4 and 1/8 oz with # 1/0 or 2/0 sickle hooks.

Mr Jim, what is the name of those jigs? I've never seen them before.

Creekslick on the AR. board makes a mid-spin jig in 1/16, 1/8, and 1/4. You can find them online under the name of Slick Jigs. He just poured me 10 dozen of them. He long lines all year. I got a dozen each of his favorite 10 colors.

Thanks in advance for your input.
Reese I have been killing them longlining 1/8 hand tied round head jigs with a spinner tied behind the head. Scott showed me my first one. I will post a picture of a couple that I use in a little while.
