I like the "foot" chart that EZ posted on here quite a while ago. It takes the calculations out of it, just look at the feet of line out and it shows you the depth your bait will run, for Bandit 100, 200, or 300. Laminated and ready for the boat.

Something that I dont here talked about alot but Scottv hit on it the other day, is where the line hits the water. I run mine off the sides with the rod tips as close to the water as I can without the tip getting in the water if a good wave comes by with my 2 inside poles almost straight back off each side at a 45 or so degree angle. Feetof line out starts where the line hitsw the water or at least that is what it seems to Scaott and me as well. So if you have your rods standing up in the back and the line is 20 feet behind the boat before it goes in the water then you need to add 20 feet to your calculations.
As an old green carp fesherman the only time I feshed a crank with the rod up was if I was trying to keep it shallow, rod tip on the water or even in the water, sometime 7 foot deep, if I were trying to get depth or just let the bait work as it was intended.

My rod set-up is the same as what Kent showed, 8', 12' and 16' PST's running straight out the sides with tips about 1' off the water.

I just watch my FF and try to adjust my cranks where they are above the crappie......crappie will go up to hit a crankbait but they will not go down.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
