Sardis upper lake will be your best bet...just starting out, like you said, you can catch fish there virtually anywher....may not be many keepers though, lol. You will get the feel for trolling, even though you catch a lot of short fish. be very careful of the wind, sardis can be brutal on windy days....downright dangerous. 20_30 mph wind tommorrow....will not be good.
