I think if the lakes were drained, you wouldn't find the depth they say the lakes are anywhere.

    Good luck Jim.

They are siltin in and a lot of the creek channels have disapeared. Drawdown causes bank erosion after heavy rain and water pressure on the banks is what keeps them there. The CORP is the real reason for the silting!!They need to do a better job of constant interpretation of upcoming rainfall and adjust each lake accordingly.Whats gonna happen in the future? They gonna have to dredge these lakes?

I dont think we will see a change in the management of the COE lakes as far as the Big Four is concerned. Its frustrating but it is what we have to deal with.
Butla last year was a prime example of flood control, was absolutely crazy the way it jumped. It is effected more by an inch of rain up river than the others but they all have to stay down this time of year as to not flood. Weather patterns have changed some but I have see Grenada jump 7 foot in a few days, can happen quick and their purpose is to hold it back off the Delta.
Scuna river and Turkey Creek are almost non-existant where they join, completely filled in and its just gonna get worse. Four wheel drives and four wheelers just out playing in the mud dont help any at all.

Yep Rees, the CORP don't want to get caught with their pants down, so they just drained them all!!Seems like the easiest way to do it!!It's just frustrating!
