Thread: I dont get it

I do remodel constr so i use my tools everyday. I like the new 18 volt Makita drills they have held up well for me, not gonna argue about drills cause Millwaukee makes a bad a--drill. But the only mitre saw and skill type saw to own is a Makita in my book. Porter cable makes the best router in my opinion.

I have the 28v impact. That thing is a horse. If you're not careful you can really rip up stuff.

I do metal residental roofing and the Makita I tried several years ago couldnt handle it so that must have changed, wouldnt own anything other than a Makita for a skill saw or chainsaw either in the 20 inch bar

I like makita and milwaukee but don't think my wife would want me getting her one.

I'm a DeWalt guy, and I use mine every day too!! I've never tried the Milwaukee's. How do the batteries hold up?

Milwaukee makes the best power tool for construction bar none, Bill we use their corless drills, bandsaws, sawsalls, impacts, and circular saws all day every day. Can use the same battery for hours, recharge over and over with no loss in performance. #1 in my book.

And their made in the USA!

Tried old mikwaukee a couple times when I was younger but it was nasty.

What do people do with their old stuff? The last combo kit I bought was the neon green Ryobis when the lithium batteries had just come out. Great tools, but after 4 or 5 years the batteries wouldn't hold a charge more than a few minutes of work. A couple of new batteries were more than buying the new combo set that I bought. Does that make since? Anyway, I've got a perfectly good drill, skillsaw and sawzall with no batteries. Kinda seems wasteful to toss them in the trash.
