I broke a few corner welds on my polarkraft. Took it back to the dealer ( 6 years later) and Polarkraft paid for a local welder to fix it.

Mr. Wills has spoken. The end.

So what would be the resolution to keep it from happening again? Not cinching it down hard? Replacing roller with something else? Cant reason out a solution in my feeble mind.

I've found that a lot of trailers have the adjustable winch brackets. If it does...I'd say the best way to prevent that kind of problem is to get the boat where you want it on the trailer and move the bracket and roller right up to the eye loop and tighten everything down. This way you know you arent putting any unnecessary pressure on the front of your boat.

Some of the roads around here you better have it cinched down. I dont want mine to move off the trailer at all, cinched down all the way around for me. Being not cinched down good an tite may very well be the prob.

I leave my bow roller a bit low so my bow will lift up and my Terrova will clear the outside roller when I launch. I just cinch her down tight when I load it, and I've never had a broken weld from it. Been doing it every since I've been using auto pilot TM's. Bout 1992 or so!!!!!

Gator, that is Excel, and Xpress, with an X. Lol

G3's are made here in my hometown, they will give you a new boat- no questions asked. rock solid company with good people working there.
If you ever need any parts my neighbor scraps the test boats out. brand new preinstalled parts dirt cheap. no motors but have everything else on them.

The picture of the broken weld looks like the TM caught the roller, and the weight of the boat tore the weld.
