    Looking for a new one. Dont have 2k to buy one of those high dollar ones. So in yalls opinion what is the best one under 500? Thanks in advance.

    It's all in what you want--get the most you can for your money for sure. i have a couple of HD 570's (about 200 each) and just upgraded to 597 and love it.
    It just depends on what you want--2d, GPS, DI, color, etc. The more of those things you get the more money. All of them will work well--so you just have to pick what fits. Good Luck

    This aint a bad place to start, it aint got all the bells and whistles of a 2K unit but for me it does great, I mainly singlepole and pull cranks, gonna throw in some longlining this summer, but this unit for the money helped me catch alot of feshes last summer.
