I didn't touch it...promise. And appliance repair is the shop that has our trolling motor, and I will happily vouch for em. I was on the phone with em last Tuesday insisting he get it fixed in time (without the part) and he moved heaven n earth to try to help, even said a curse word or two in frustration when he discovered there wasn't nothin they could do. Good people, and we will use em again.

KDAVID1, if you pull cranks you might want to look at some 12v golf cart batts. I trolled alot Saturday cause the Merc was sick, when I hooked the charger up this afternoon they were still 84% charged. Pulling cranks they are the BOMBB!!!
Thanks for the info--will look into it.

Just got off the phone with 'Jones Trolling motor service in Texarkana... Good people to deal with as my co-worker said they were.. Walked me through everything I needed to know for proper parts... Parts are ordered and should be here Wednesday.. $35 shipping and all.. Sure a lot cheaper than I first imagined

Did they move? Last time I dealt with them they were on Park just east of Highland. Half a block, maybe, on north side. They never have what you need, but can order it.
Find the right website and order it yourself.

Had a rookie in the boat... Lol... The head is made in 2 pieces and the bottom one cracked(just plastic) and it finally fell apart the other day when it got abused by another Rookie mishandling it.. It's a pretty easy fix just have to remove head pieces, disconnect the cables and wiring and put the new parts on... Thank God it wasn't something more serious..
