    About 5700 give or take.

Thanks Torch, Hugh did tell me that he had been told that he could change the prop if he wanted more speed but he was happy with it as it was and I am too, when we took it out for a test on Grenada the water was bad but with 3 folks in it he got up to 38 according to his gps, that is fast enough for me or at least right now LOL you know how we men are it has a stainless prop on it but I dont know what the pitch is. so from what I am gathering, I should run it over say 5700rpms at wot (not that it will turn more rpms)is that correct ?

    thanks

I would run it around 5700 Larry, not over. Run her around 4500 RPMs and fuel consumption will go WAY down. My 200 loves gas but if I keep it around 4000 it will run 40 or so and not burn near the fuel. Ran from from Bryant to the main point in Grenada and back on less than 3 gallons of fuel last summer bunch of times. Fuel prices will rip ya a new one for sure.

If its running to suit you. good hole shot....planes out good, and is fast enough to suit you just leave it alone man....don't try to fix something thats not broke. As long as your not turning over max reccomended rpm limit at wide open throttle your ok. and I am sure that MS. Slab had it set up where its not going over the limit. Go enjoy the boat and go fishing and quit worrying about it sheeeesh!
