Default Is this a good deal?

Found a MK Edge 55 lb foot controlled trolling motor and Humminbird PiranhaMAX 150 Fishfinder Combo on sale at Bass Pro and I'm wondering whether it's worth it or not. Looks good but I don't know anything at all about the Humminbird. I know it's an entry level FF but when you don't have nothin', somethin' beats it pretty good. I'd be putting them on a 14' Lowe Big Jon boat.

    Thanks,

    Mike

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot the linky link - http://www.basspro.com/Minn-Kota-Edg...0501266/352636

You can can get it on Ebay for the same price by the time you give Bass Pro the tax and if BP charges shipping Ebay is cheaper.

I always used a hand controled trolling motor in my Jon boat.

Not me, best thing I ever done was build me a deck, put a pedastal seat on it with a foot control trolling motor.

I would get better used stuff for cheaper if your on a budget.
For me there is only 2 options for a TM to crappie fish foot controlled or terrova with I-pilot. Sooooo much easier for me.
If the fish aren't bitting just remember your not at work ! :D

Tried to single pole with my terova this weekend. If I could've throw the terova overboard, I would've. Instead I tried to throw Bigc overboard. Literally...

Never tried to single pole with my terrova. I use my jon boat for that and it has a cable drive on it.
I could see the problem with the terrova for single polling tho.

Foot controller werks better in the wood. A cable drive is MUCH better.
