    Been making and using them for years. I call'em tippets. Call'em gnats, teasers, tippets, whatever.......it's just an enhancement to a bare hook.

    I have seen them tied before on bass hooks for plastic worms. Its just a teaser.....something to act as a attractor to fish minnows on. They work good.
