I've noticed that the black crappie males were turning black at Okatibbee the past week. The black crappie are starting to spawn. The whites are a couple of weeks away. Congrats on the good catch.

I think black crappie spawn at a water temp of 50-55 degrees. White crappie really start to get frisky around 58 degrees and spawn around 62 degrees. It fixin' to be on!Originally Posted by ScottV
