Like Speck said we have quit fishing before the official stop fishing time many times just to make sure we were in line before the cut off. It was OUR decision to fish very far away for the weigh-in ramp and we didn't feel the tournament officials were unfair to us in any way. We could have fished anywhere. With our large lakes in mind we have intentionally made the time between stop fishing and the in-line cut off 1 hour to give everyone more time to gather their biggest fish and get in line without being rushed. Now let's focus on this year and have some fun. ES please make sure your at the ramp at 2:15 so you can show me your new fetching skills.Rofl

Why were these rule changes not made when the "new" rules were posted? Good night!

Well guys, I dont fish the FJ's (but I wish I could) but after reading this along with other threads about FJ's and tourney's, I have to say that it looks to me that the FJ's could become obsolete in the future because someone is alway got something to say about something and no one seems to be ever completely satisfied. Ill tell you, these guys that take on the task of organizing these things should be commended as of all the ones I have read about on here, someone is always gettin (pardon my french) pissed about something. Again I dont fishem so I dont have a dog in the race and if any one of you that fish it want to tell me to "shut up and mind my own business" feel free to do so, but I will tell you ahead of time it aint never worked in 54 years of being told to shut up, so It wont work for you either. Yall just make it way to much complication and drag a little more out of the fun every time I see one of these threads come up. Just like someone has in their signature on there, why dont you just "Fish and Shut up" thats my uneducated take on it all, now yall keep the fun in it and the gubment outta it

I think the question is very simple... And has YET to be answered... What is the START time of the weigh in? From what I have read, it could be anywhere from 2:10 to 2:55 with the cut off being at 3:00. It would be safe to assume most people WANT to be there when the weigh in BEGINS...not in the middle or near the end. Having a set time would ensure the people who would like to be there could be. After all, if I get my boat in the water at 6:30 and I want to start fishing at 6:45 cause it is more convenient for me... Well that's not really fair is it? I'm not the only person fishing the tourney, and it's not just my hard earned money that was spent, was it? I don't think choosing a START time for the weigh in is really all that difficult, so I am struggling to understand what the issue is. I really hope the committee can get together and agree on an official start time, and I think everyone will be happy. The only other alternative is latching on to Sat's boat about 1:30....and shadowing him so I know when it starts. And I don't think he would like that, I can get fairly annoying. And if this ticks anyone off...well, tough. Every other tourney I have been too has a START time for the weigh in...why can't we? And if I read correctly, Sat believes 3 is too late...so why not 2:30? I don't think anyone cares what time it starts...they just want to know a set time of when. Then they can choose to be there... Or wait til 2:59...then everyone's happy.

The reason I won't shut up is because I don't think anyone has understood my argument yet!

Last year at Sardis registration the stop fishing time was left at 2:00. But the weigh in time was moved to 2:30. yikess this was not MY choice. This was because a couple of tournament committee members were in a gosh darn hurry to get home after the tournament.

I think the bottome line is about half of us want the weigh in to start at 3:00 so we can all be present to watch it, and the other half want it to start as soon as the scales are set up so we can hurry up and get on the road and get home.
