That's what I am thinking of doing, any trouble with the rods slipping in those Hi-Teks when a catfish hits?

have had trouble with my short rods with the old style hiteks if i had my reels turned upward, with reels down they would never try to jump out.scott sent me the new style last year and i havent used them enough to give my opinion yet,but they look like u could turn ur reel either way and they wont try to jump out,u poles set in a deeper grove on the new style
