I was tryin to make a solid decision for this year today, did too much switchin last year, hung my capps and colemans up last year, all that parabolic bend doesnt fly with lily pad stems and stump fields, (just my opinion I know a lot of guys like em, but I need to be able to snatch free when I need to) was fishin 14 and 16 bgjp's (jig poles) next to 14 and 16 pst's (trolling poles) the jig poles might have lighter tips and be better for light bite detection, but they bounce like a basketball in waves and the pst's rode smooth, and there was no problem seein' bites. Conclusion was use pst 14s in 12 ft+ and 16's any shallower, save the jig poles for pushin light stuff (jigs) real shallow. Just my 3 cents.
