Absolutely use a torque wrench. The problem with the plastic wrenches is that while the prevent you from stripping your prop nut off, they also keep you from tightening the nut to mfg specs. I keep the socket in the boat with a cheap ratchet for emergencies on the water but always use the torque wrench to tighten her up after servicing.
