In my opinion this type is far superior to bearing buddies.......with this system you do this once a year and you are actually removing the old grease and re packing your bearings with new grease. Only thing is....keep a watch on the back side of your wheels.....when the grease seals get worn they will sling some grease out on the back side. What I do is I just replace the seals every three years, that way I know I am in good shape. Be sure to use a good quality lithium based marine wheel bearing grease.

Don't Bearing Buddies have a small hole in the side and once they are full a small snake of grease will start leaking out of that hole?

OLD FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL THAT WAY!!

Yes some do and some don't. Some of them have a ring that you do not pump past to keep from getting to full and then others have the small hole that you are talking about.
