I hate to revive this thread, but here are the pictures. Dang eye phone would not let me upload them last week.

I think the peanut butter looking stuff is F-26. I plan on scraping that junk off and then pilot drilling the holes for the pop rivets, then applying the 3M glue, then riveting them together when the 3m is wet, then probably give everything a final seal with some silicone, when the glue dries.

Won't need silicone, 3M 5200 is the best silicone money can buy.

3M is stout, but I don't think it will have the adhesive properties to pull those pieces together without a mechanical to back it up. At least not like F26 or F12. Going the rivet route will prolly work with the 5200 serving to fill in the gaps.

    Or....here's a can't miss repair for ya.

My scamp came apart like that....I put it back together and got a couple of more years use out of it.....then it came apart again.....it is down in the woods now as a form for honeysuckle to grow over.....I replaced it with a 10 ft aluminum jon from Midway Marine. The thing with the scamps are the sun and acid rain are not good for abs plastic......that stuff finally just gets brittle and rotten.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

The top section got "sun burned" a few years ago, and cracked when I left the battery in it for a bumpy ride across the lake bottom. I patched it with fiberglass and then got the top section "rhino lined". I guess a new boat would should be in order, but I still think I can get some more good out of it.

    I.e. I am too cheap!

Plastic weld is the way to go. I think your scamp is too far gone for plastic welding, though.

You could try G/flex which is epoxy made specifically for plastic. If it doesn't work, then your done as their is no scraping it off.
