There is a pink one from B&M, that Capps and Coleman endorse that will work, and it will give you the approximate weight, and shows you where to fizz one from deep water. I use a Golden Ruler.

and measure it, I have one of the ones, that is it is a decent crappie it will not fit in there right. I believe I got it from BassPro but since I bought it , there has been another come out that is bigger, or will hold larger fish and more accurate and I believe it gives you a estimate of what the weight of the fish is. anybody know what Im talkin bout ??

The pink one BRM speaks of is really nice. Bass Pro and Grizzly both carry it. Any fish that won't fit in are are the ones you don't bother to measure because they are way bigger than 12. It's called the slabmaster crappie saver.
The pink one will hold a butla 12in fish the green frabil wont hold one.

Maachuu you gots to catch one of them butla fish before you need to worry about which board to get...silly boy!
I have one. I think it is too big and cumbersome and stays in the way. I had to repeatedly slam it up and down to get the fat Arkabutla crappie all the way in last fall. I will be replacing it with the Golden Rule.
I get all wet trying to use a golden rule. The thing I like best about this is after u measures a fish you can just turn it upside down and let the fish slide out.
