I don't think sumbody that hasn't posted in 2 weeks should be allowed to ask that many questions at once. Pfffft.
1) No.
2) Dunno. Maybe. Definitely maybe. Not this year though.
3) Butla, Grenada or some farm pond/lake somewhere.

Has anyone on the board ever caught or even seen a legitimate 4 pound crappie? Every year I will hear a story or 2 about a 4 pounder being caught, but I think it is all a hoax. I have never even laid eyes on a live 4 pound crappie (possibly the one that spit my jig at me in Buttputter creek about 8-9 years ago would go 4, but that is only speculation since I never got to touch her.). I am pretty sure the "world record" 10 fish stringer of 35 pounds and some change had 2 four pounders in the mix. One of the crappie tours used to have all 10 of the world record stringer fish mounted, but I have not seen it in a while.
The guy who ran the store at Gore Springs said he only weighed 2 four pounders in the 20+ years he had the business.
If you have caught one, please tell us where, what year, and what technique was used. Just curious to see how many people have done it.
Also, I have a poll question or two.
The World record white crappie of 5lbs 3 oz was caught by Mr. Fred Bright of Memphis TN, in Enid on 7/31/57. (Strange that this fish was that big in the late summer, makes me wonder what it would have weighed in the spring)
Will this record ever be broken?
If so, where will the new record be set?

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
Seen a few of em over the years.

No four pounders even from the guides. Just shows how rare a beast like that is. Almost like chasing Bigfeets...
I don't think a World record is out there. I do not think a 5 pounder is out there, anywhere, period. Maybe if the Corp would manage the lake as a fishery and not for flood control, then there would be a legitimate chance of a new WR.
I need to get my post count up so I have to answer my own thread...

I do that all the time. I'd only have 50 posts if I didn't. LMAO
My Avitar was a 22" male. Weighted 4.25

Seen a couple, yet to land one. Had one on two years ago at butla, that was easily over 4lbs, but he threw my jig before I could get a net on him.
