I like the hi-vis cause its easier to see dont think it matters to the fish.

My home is Greers Ferry ans it is a deep clear water lake and all I use is hi-vis braid and I have caught a few here the last couple of years.

You neglected to tell us how you are fishing, slow troll or jiging. If you are slow trolling, use Hi-Vis yellow with a florocarbon leader. If you are jigging, use clear spider wire or braid. If you are jigging, you arent't looking at the end of the pole.
I am a big believer in fluorocarbon line at Bay Springs.
No question on Bay Springs I use 6lb Berkley Vanish and yes it does make a difference in really clear water. On the muddy big 4 no advantage but in clear water that is another story.
i use fluorocarbon with jigs regardless of water color.
We feshed Franklins Ferry on the Black Warrior a couple of years ago and those fesh could tell the difference. Had to go to vanish for the tourney. During practice I finally figured this out. So, in my opinion, go with a fluorocarbon or clear mono.
