Good Spinners,(I like playin my fish with my right hand, plus I've used em for 30 yrs) cheap hi viz 12-15 for my main line, and Silver Thread AN-40 Silver 10 & 12# for my rigs cause the diameter is smaller, and it isn't as brittle as floro.

It ain't that spinning reels won't handle large fish, it's that you have to pay off line with two hands and they stick way out from the rod making your stack of rods more prone to tangle in transport.

It aint that minis won't handle big fish, again, you have to pay off line with two hands.

But the real reason to use bait casters is that you can more easily use longer rods and short lines are no problem and micro depth adjustments can all be done with one hand with the thumb bar line release.

When you catch a good fish, you can set the hook, fight him to the top with one hand and have your other hand free for your net. Plus, with the fish on the line and a net in one hand you can release the line and pay it out with tension from your thumb, raise the rod and bring the fish in to be netted. This also helps if someone else is running the net.

Now...go get bait casters before I whip ya.
