My wife netted a 3 lb 1 oz fish for my brother about 7-8 years ago. I netted my 3lb 2 oz girl on 3-20-11 in piney woods creek. (just check the big fish thread on this site) I netted a 3 pounder on 1-16-12 for my buddy at the spillway. I know it was snagged, but a legal catch. Every year I catch several 2 lb 12 oz, but that 3 was very elusive. Maybe it will not take me as long to catch the next one.

Thanks. That's the 3.06 fish my buddy mounted. My avitar is the long male. His head is longer than the coke can.

can a Virgina guy jump in here ? And I have a picture too. Three pounds and six oz, 18 inches long and thick too. I caught it Easter Sunday in 1988, Santee Cooper SC, on a minner. One of the best looking mounts I've seen too. Went fishing with the biologist on their shock boat once and had one in my hands that was over 20 inches, wide and thin too but it had to be over 4. We put her back and I'm still looking for that one again.
