Some dude just hit a deer in front of the house, I was typing away & BAM hear a crash, lked outside saw deer flushing like a covey of quail. Everybody OK. Old truck, deer gone. One of these days, one is going to run through my house. Last year wife bought some panseys, left them on the top step of the porch, still in the flat they came in. Next morning nothing left but but the flat and a little dirt.

I know we are just kidding around this but about 10 years ago, I met a MSU professor who was from French Camp staying at Timberlake Camp Ground. We got to talking about fishing and he said he wished he could go sometime. I offered to take him and we went the next day. While on the water, we got to talking about hunting deer in his area and he said didn't have to be in a club. He could kill more deer in his back yard. I laughed. When we got back to his camper, he showed me pictures of monster bucks he had killed less than 150 yards from his house. He owns 50 acres west of FC out in the bunnies but surrounded by big oaks and pines. He offered a trip to kill some but I never took him up on it. Wish I could find his number.
