Might want to add a keel guard to your list. Either that or some hip boots. Take a look at Hamby's Light Duty. Far superior to Keel Sheild or the other one IMO.

Youre gonna LOVE it for any kind of fishing. The fisherman boats take the water good, sits low in the water so wind isnt as bad, and is a very good ride in a chop. I have a Ranger Fisherman boat and it is the best longlining boat I've been in (longlining is 95% of my fishing) in all my years of fishing. I have been fishing out of the 690's smaller version (the 681) since late last spring and it's just a real pleasure going fishing with that boat. A 10 mph wind (or more) no longer blows me off the water.Thumbs Up (My last boat since '97 was a 16' Caroilina Skiff which I spider rigged and longlined out of.) Congrats on the new ride!

I fished out of 2 different Fisherman's for 3 years with Harold Rosson from IL and they are good for spider rigging and cranking. You will need the 101 because that boat is heavy. You will need a Hamby or a step ladder when picking up Bo. As far as the trailer, it probably had a single axle trailer and a double axle makes it pull better. Harold had Ranger build a double axle trailer for his last Fisherman. You will love that up front bait well. You can keep 5 lbs of minners in there for a while.

Very nice BC... I like it. That baby got lots of room. No need to rent a hotel room if you go out of town fishing with that boat... Just bring you a sleeping bag! ha
