Hey Torch, If you haven't ever fished Chotard and the gar are gone, you'll love that lake. Some sho nuff monsters in there. Chotard is one of my favorite lakes and I sho like the idea of being able to go whenever I want to know and not when there's 4 or 5 folks to stand on my tailgate so I can get back up the ramp. LOL Ramps are STEEP and have some loose gravel on them. Tough to pull when you add in a little water

It was defiantly different from the weekend before but we managed to find some fish. We had 4 fish by 7:30 and didn't catch another until 10. We ended up catching 15 keepers and a dozen or so short fish. Arkabutla has to be one of the best big fish lakes in the country!

Were ya'll getting bit from them small bass all day like last time I was up there?

I never caught a bass in the two weekends I fished. I was crappie fishing though WB!

I caught only one small LMB.

Amazing....when we were up there for the last FJ, I'll bet I caught 75 on Friday and 40 on Saturday. At one point I caught 5 on 4 rods at the same time. Bout ran me out of minnows.
