Dont everybody look at the classifieds and it seems as long as it was just a personal item, that you think one of your local buddies might be interested in, it would be ok on here. That's all I'm sayin.
And G, I realize who makes the rules here, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction with my personal opinion.

Guys....You can offer your personal items for sale here on MS OT.....but Slab requests that you do not price them or put up any contact info ( phone numbers, email addys etc.), just ask the people to send you a PM if there interested. Read the Sticky I put up yesterday....it says just what I just said. If you put it up with a price and contact info then it constitutes an actual add and I will have to either edit that out or just move it to the Classified add section.

I thought you could put it on here first, just not the price.

It may be a goofy rule, but it was developed over time, particularly because of all the advertising on the Jigs and Jig Tying forums. There had been tons of posting, people trying to stay under the radar of blatant advertising for their businesses. It's a hard thing to moderate, and if we had absolutely no rules about it, we'd have nothing but advertising on the site. So, goofy as it may seem, for the sake of keeping things simple across the forums, we ask that URLs, pricing, and other contact info about products for sale be limited to the Classified Ads forums. Make sense now?
