No offence taken, I just felt like hollering this morning. No apology necessary.
I think it was the first year or 2 when they implemented the 12" minimum. They let you keep 5 any size. If it was as big as a butterbean you could throw him and 4 of his buddies in the box and it was legal. I can not remember when they changed that rule, but it has only ben a few years ago.
Which brings up my old soap box. Let people keep 20 fish per boat/ 10 per wader/bank fisherman, and only 2 over 15". Nobody needs to keep 20 fish 2 pounds or better.
I would like to see it done this way for a few years. Then I think the world record would be broken, or at least one close to that weight would be caught, in 5 years or less.
