That boy ain't gonna spend no 18K for a boat. He what they call a light weight.
Before ya'll go stroking checks, that's not a 250 Pro XS, it's a 250 XS. Difference is the XS was the first series of Optimax technologie put out by the racing division of Mercury. Brand new, they came with only a 1 year warranty. The Optimax from the Marine side of Mercury came with a 2 year.....ought to give you an indiation of how well they expect them to hold together.....but aside from that........the 250 XS takes premium fuel ONLY. Ouch!!!!!!! Lets see....22' 65,300 lb boat times 70 mph divided by 250 HP multiplied by Premium fuel equals a repower to a 50 HP Yammie 4 stroke within 6 months. Hehehehehe
Actually, Merc shorts the warranty on all Racing division motors, but they do hold up very well. Also that one's been rebuilt and has a one year warranty, so I wouldn't let that scare you. On top of that, that's as fine of a fishing platform as can be had (except for the stepit dual console) and a heck of a price especially considering the warranty on the motor.
Now....if you'll look past that janky Ranger to the Jaguar....now we talkin'.
Wannabe...
