Not sure about Metal Boats but that is bad low on a glass boat. Will say this, when you raise the motor RPM's should go up so you are still in the prop market. I have been playing with mine and have it almost where I want it. Noticed it lost it's bite a couple of times in the rollers on Sardis Saturday, gonna drop it a quarter of an inch and start looking for a prop.
Good luck, that ride is sweet!!

It will, remember if your RPM's are where you want substract 2 off the pitch when going to the 4 blade. 26 pitch four blade equals a 28 pitch three blade.

Hey Torch, my last boat was a Venture TE, I was running a 26" double cup Turbo on a 175 Merc.
My cavitation plate was 5.5" above the bottom of the boat, I had good lift on a plane and it would

Every body keeps saying pitch, and hight, but I think Tush nailed it with the CUP!!!

I still wonder how you figured 36% slippage? It could have a bad hub if it's slipping that bad, but I've never been told how to figure the slippage.

Some Prop guy took the weight. RPMS. motor gearcase and speed. Put all that in an equation and came up with the slippage. He said I should be running 63 mph and I am only doing 39.6
