Default The Friday Night Feeding Thread to End all Friday Night Feeding Threads

A'ite. We gotta come up with a plan. All this time, I've been worried about parking for boats thinking that everybody would come off the lake and head right the restaurant, but in talking with Speck, I realized last year there was probably only 2 boats in the parking lot as most came in, got cleaned up and then went to eat. So, if you take a huge parking lot out of the equation, we've got a lot more options.

Here's my list of nominations. Vote on one or more or add your own and I'll put up a pole to run through Wednesday PM and decide from there. My pole will only have those places that seem to have the most support:

Here's my list in no particular order:

    1) 333 (awful convenient, I like the food and plenty big for us)
    2) No Way Jose (excellent food, Mexican, but a good number of non Mex dishes, more than big enough, will handle a few boats - Hey DD, Margaritas...I'm just saying.)
    3) Western Sizzlin - (Ok food, normally a decent sized buffet, plenty of seating and parking is more than adequate)
    4) Scott's Cross Roads - (Some may not be familiar with this one, but they have a big seafood buffet and is located up Hwy 7 headed towards Coffeeville, parking and seating not an issue)
    5) Orleans - (located downtown, boat parking limited, food is great, a little more pricey though, plenty of seating)
    6) The Bait Shop - (Ya'll all know this one...seating is a concern to me, but I like his food)

Also, I talked to Lee Jackson at the Bait Shop a little bit ago. He's going to be open Saturday at or just before 5 and will bring in a waitress for us so everyone can just order. I asked him to plan on 30 people at least and also asked him to have a good supply of the larger minnows on hand if for any reason you would want to use a non-large fish catching size of minnow. For whatever reason. I'd personally appreciate it if everyone stopped in and spent at least a little money with him that AM or at least while you're in town. He's a good guy and is willing to help us out anytime we need it.

A'ite, the let the vittle wars begin.

I like the idea of Scott's and will check on the 2 buffets as a door prize if that may be a deciding factor. Think I got him in my phone.

    1) 333 (awful convenient, I like the food and plenty big for us)
    GROSS, to much grease

    2) No Way Jose (excellent food, Mexican, but a good number of non Mex dishes, more than big enough, will handle a few boats - Hey DD, Margaritas...I'm just saying.)
We ate there last Thursday and I like the place. Good Tex Mex and good Margaritas

    3) Western Sizzlin - (Ok food, normally a decent sized buffet, plenty of seating and parking is more than adequate)
    GROSS

    4) Scott's Cross Roads - (Some may not be familiar with this one, but they have a big seafood buffet and is located up Hwy 7 headed towards Coffeeville, parking and seating not an issue)

Never heard of it but is the food better with less grease than 333?

    5) Orleans - (located downtown, boat parking limited, food is great, a little more pricey though, plenty of seating)

You're buying so money is no object

    6) The Bait Shop - (Ya'll all know this one...seating is a concern to me, but I like his food)
    pass

Is he gonna be open Friday morning at 6? Lakeway only had dinky minners Friday and Saturday.

Just called Lee back. He will be open Friday at 5 AM. MCC pretty much cleaned Grenada of all minnows, but Jerry is getting restocked today and will be delivering them everywhere as soon as he gets them from Arkansas. Lee said he'd cook some extra sausage and bacon on Friday to accommodate ya'll.

You left out the Tiki Bar. I'd like a big juicy steak if possible. Gotta go easy on the grease.

Just got off the phone with Scott, if we decide to go there he is gonna give us 2 buffets as door prizes and will be drawn for while we are there and may be used on the spot, so if your drawn your meal (equal to a buffey) is on the house.
Up to yall, just puttin it out there and made a call or 2. Plenty of room, ice cream, and most of the time they have nanner puddin.Thumbs Up
