One thing is for certain, no matter how it irons out we need to be on the same page once it starts. 23 or 24 boats in the last tourney and somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 boats this coming weekend is swiftly getting out of the FJ status. I am all for bigger numbers of boats and hope it will continue to grow, great folks and great fellowship but with growth comes growing pains. Shall be interesting the next couple of months or whatever the time frame is having the comittee and the dates set.
Rees the only reason your seeing 20 - 24 boats in the last couple of FJ's is because they are in the Northern part of the state and are held on lakes that have a reputation for producing big crappie. Like DD said once the sechedule goes south so does the attendance. More of us just happen to live in the Northern part of the state.

I see what your saying, I myself will try to fish em all if I am gonna fish. Just a thing with me, if I'm in I'm in. I understand not being able to fish em all and having things come up, I had to pass on the Grenada tourney because it was on Easter weekend, I think that was the weekend. We have great fisheries in the Northern half of the state and feel we are missing out on a few, the northeast corner aint bad and the drive up the trace aint bad for the southern guys either. Looking forward to the next couple of months to see how it all plays out.

All I can say is Washington had one of the heaviest stringers all year. Mike Jones has been a gracious host for us with food and a place to weigh in (under a shed). I like helping people that help us!!!!!!

Yikes, question for you. Why don't you northern folks fish farther south like Barnett? If the southern guys can pull to Arkabutla, there's no reason y'all can't come to Barnett. Down deep, I'd really like to see a team have to either fish or pay for every tournament. It appears that most folks pick and choose the ones that they have a better chance to win.

That takes the "fruit jar" asspect completely out of it and it becomes a circuit type thing. Dont think that's what alot of the FJ teams are looking for. If I were wanting to fish a circuit type trail there are plenty to fill that need and I may do that very thing but hope we can keep the C.C FJ tourneys just that.

With some people feeling their favorite lake is overlooked, or they have to travel more than their fair share, maybe we shouldn't fish any lake twice. That would fit someone's favorite lake into the schedule.
