How about having the Championship @ the lake where the heaviest stringer is caught.

Don't guess floating was the correct word. The championship lake should be randomly chosen

The idea of the "floating date or tournament" is in case a lake gets hot like Sardis did back in February. After the schedule is set, all permits are acquired. Say Enid is set for June but gets hot in April, we use the floating date on Enid and ask for a date change.
I pity the idget that has to readjust all the rules next year. I think the tourneys have been going fairly smooth.

I am not sure what the process is here. I know DD just kinda threw this out here yesterday to get the ball rolling but until a Tourney committee is decided on all this is in vane.
One thing is for certain, no matter how it irons out we need to be on the same page once it starts. 23 or 24 boats in the last tourney and somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 boats this coming weekend is swiftly getting out of the FJ status. I am all for bigger numbers of boats and hope it will continue to grow, great folks and great fellowship but with growth comes growing pains. Shall be interesting the next couple of months or whatever the time frame is having the comittee and the dates set.

ONLY reason I put it out there is I got a couple PM's from someone asking about next year. NO schedule will be set til I see the MCC, Tracy's tourneys and then take a look at Crappiemasters and crappieUSA's schedule. The Lake master will set the lakes and dates, then it's sent to the other members of the board for approval. Once that's done, we'll post them up for everyone to look at and comment on, then set them in stone. Right now all I want is feedback on the months and dates for each lake. I think it went as well as possible last year even with the bad weather and excess rainfalls we had. We had over 14 pounds at Washington and several other tourneys with some pretty big weights. That to me is a successful year right there. Congrats to all the winners form this past year, you done good guys
