Thread: Hope you enjoyed the Big Mama

First of all I never even got to read the thread but I know it was about my 8 fish at the scales Friday. Just to give my side of the story here is what happen. I keep my fish on O2 during tournaments because I believe they weigh more alive. I had culled 7 fish and put them in my minnow tank with O2 since we were trying to release live fish and they would be easy to get to when our number was called. I was running the microphone and my partner , who is the club secretary, was keeping the books. I had put a fish in the cooler earlier in the day and forgot about it. Anyway I put our 7 tournament fish in the tank with the fish I forgot about. Well our number was about to be called and I ask a board member to go to my boat and dump my minnow tank in my bucket to bring to the scales. I was just as shocked when the weigh crew announced 8 fish! Either way MCC has a rule for this case, as well as, if ice is present when fish are brought to the scales. If that happens you go to the back of the weigh line as I did! Our tournaments while serious are also about having fun. It was an honest mistake and no penalty was warranted.

Even more reason to be considered a JADA. I wouldn't trust anybody I fesh tourneys with to brang my fesh to the scales. Least that clears up the fact that some may have thought you were tryin to cheat. I knowed you wouldn't that ignert. Well I was hoping anyhow.
I'll go ahead and tell you like I tolt em Saturday, I do think the 8 fesh rule to the back of the line is crap. Ifn a feller can't count, he oughta be dq'ed, not put in time out and allowed to try and learn to count. Anyhow, glad you cleard that up.

Oh and by the way, what gewber puts fesh in his minner tank?

And I still believe, like I said Saturday, if you don't like an organizations rules, you should join that organization, if you are not already a member, and lobby the powers that be to change the rules. Not spout off you 2 cents worth in a public forum.

Minnerman I can’t say I disagree with you on being DQ'd for too many fish. Although I don't think that is a good policy for MCC or C.Com tournaments. Now when dealing with Crappie Masters I believe that is grounds for DQ. Our club is no different than your group of guys we are just doing this for fun! Now as far as me cheating I didn't realize that was the accusations made against me! I have way too much to lose to cheat in a tournament!

Cheating was never mentioned by anyone in the thread other than it being in gest, at least that's the way I took it and I was smack dab in the middle of the whole deal.Thumbs Up
Mistakes are made and at certain levels the punishment is more severe than others. Stand up guy far as I can see, thanks for what you do and hopefully I will feel my abitlities are up to snuff next year and I can join yall some.
