The Corp has a standing rule that anytime there is a 24 hour 2" rainfall (think that's the mark) they automatically shut the gates to prevent flooding down stream. My guage had more than 5" from Saturday PM till Monday AM - didn't empty it. Spillway stands at 150 CFS discharge as of yesterday.....down from 2350 CFS on Saturday.

If I had to guess, the rains will add less water than you would expect. I know Jackson got hammered, but the further North you went, the more moderate the rain totals and intensity. Feelay said somewhere he didn't get any rain at all in Hernando.
