Responded, and included a link to the U.S. Code addressing the proper display and use of the flag with a suggestion to use this incident as an opportunity to teach the students about the flag. This "Change" needs to be stopped.

Jethro mentioned the U.S. Code addressing the proper display and use of the U.S. FLAG. Thank you, sir. It is sad that today's generation doesn't even know of the Codes existence. In an additional note, there is only one state flag that may be flown at the same level of the U.S. Flag. Know which state?

The feeling that there is a need to fly anyones flag other than our own is ridiculous. I understand we have people of other nationalities here but why are they here? I dont think whne they came here they exspected their flag to be flown here. Alot of folks worried about hurting someone's feelings. FLAGS, LANGUAGE, AND ON AND ON....

Yep. We would say the pledge every morning. Then we had a rotation of the kids that got to take the flag down in the afternoon. I remember getting to do it several times and being taught how to fold it and to never let it touch the ground. Sad days we are living in.
