    Default Okuma 20DX

Took one apart and put it back together today, yes, it still works. The 20DX is even easier to work on than the 15DX and they are definately different.

Where is the step by step photographic tutorial? You know, everybody don't have watch makers patience and tools. I have 6 20's that are in dire straits, shall I send em back with ya at the Big Momma?

What is the main difference Maj? More gears?, more bearings?....bigger gears? what? Or is the layout completely different?

The engineering is different, better. There is a small gear on the left side,(in the 15) that would fall off eaisly and some folks wouldn't know where it was supposed to go. In the 20, they made the gear to fit on the shaft, it will still fall off, if you're not careful, but it is easy to reinstall. Does that help?

They're actually made pretty good (wish the spool was metal) on the inside, big, thick gears, would be hard to wear them out, I'll be happy to look at them for you.

I just wondered.....never saw inside a 20, kinda thought maybe they had some bigger and better bearings or more of them. I have had a 15 all apart.....its no problem to put back together, or it wasn't for me anyway.
