I thought you paid the guy at the shop to fix the leaks. Glad it's finally done tho.

I already knew that my big bait tank in the back was one cause of the leaking, but I didn't think it was bad enough to cause as much water to get inside the boat as was getting in, and I was right. I plugged the weep holes at the deck level and filled the inside of the boat up. Sho nuff, it's leaking at the access panels on my deck as well. Got em both fixed. I bought a can of spray on ruberized sealant and coated the entire bait tank, let it dry and spray painted it. Next I went to Academy sports and bought two new valves for the self bailing deck. The little one way valves were worn out so by doing this, water won't be able to get onto the deck of the boat now!!!! I got er done and done right. I even cloroxed the inside of the boat and cleaned it real good. ONLY problem I have now is the GPS still won't work on the 997. That's puzzling right there.

Sounds like some pretty good mechanicin'. No duct tape?
Nah Maj, I [paid him to fix the lectrical problems. That's all good. This was different. G3T, WB just likes to rag on folks, bet he can't fix my 997's GPS problem or he'd drive down and fix it. LOL I THINK it is the pigtail shorting thin gs out. I'm going to cut abit of it off and make sure it's not shorting the other wires out

why don't you take yours off your boat and put it on Maj's and see if it works on there. That will at least tell you if it's your unit or not
Dadgummit Triton, why you gotta come out and state the obvious? And here I was having so much fun gigglin' at the ole boy.
I forget....does the 997 puck have seperate power or is it just the connection back to the head unit? Before you go cutting and splicing anything, do as Triton suggested. If you get a good satellite lock, go back to your head unit and the puck connection and clean the connectors with a pencil erasure even if they look brand new. Apply a very thin coat of dielectric grease and retry.

Ain;t had time to do that YET. The pigtail, well, there ain't no splicing or nuttin. Just cut off abit of it and make sure the wires ain't toucnhing
