    Dan't Minner, you on a roll bud. That's twice you've had you ummm whacked hehe John, it has a salt water setting on it so it's supposed to be sealed where it won;t bother it. I know several folks on the coast that have them and use them in Salt water anywho

    Don't know anything about this stuff but if it powers up on his boat and everything works except the GPS then I would think that he either has a bad connection ( dirty, loose, corroded, or something) where the GPS antenna plugs into the unit....or the antenna cable has gotten pinched or cut somewhere, or the antenna has gone bad.

    Its inside rhe puck itself. Theres 4 wires inside it and 2 connectors that the.wires hook into then they just snap in place. Somehow water was inside the puck n one was green with corrosion. Got to get anither one on.the little connectors n it SHOULD b good to go

    Dip it in some coke, the soda in it might and I mean might clean the corrosion enough to get it to work.
    I would still replace it.

    Poured coke on my sister's battery a few days ago, still works.

    Was out of coke man. It was so corroded the thin metal was gone
