I know the Excel has the hyper-lift hull and the jackplate will certainly help but when you load an 18 foot boat with two grown men, full of fuel, full livewells and all your tournament gear in the dead of summer I seriously doubt you going the get the r's you want unless you add some nitrous which would be fun actually!!
Got a bud that has both props with the same H-18 PFC Xpress that I sold him. Loaded, he can get 6k with either prop. A 1/4 inch adjustment on the jack plate and he can get a bit better top end with the 21" and a bit better hole with the 19. He wanted a better hole shot. It will turn 6k no problem with the bigger wheel. Most folks have a 1860 with a Mod-V hull, this boat is wider at 1867 plus the Hyperlift Hull, and jack plate which is designed to run a bigger wheel at higher R's. Plus the Power Tech prop ain't no Solas!!! It's American Made just for starters, plus Xpress took this boat to them and had it properly matched. (Not my boat, but the H18 PFC with the F115)

Not an expert, and don't claim to be, but I want the top end so I'm gonna try the 21. If that don't work I'll take my medicine. I have both props anyway. ;-).

Excel doesn't make a Hyperlift Hull, theirs is called an Excelleration Hull, and is a Hybrid type hull. Not a Pad Ride but much better than a mod-V.

Thanks for your advice though. ;-)
