Carry some spare fuses. When it blows again, then you can find the ground fault that's causing it and you won't have to go to the store to get more.

    Ain't that right Tush?

sometimes fuses weaken with age and sometimes fuses are defective and do not last a long time.....you just never know....if the new one goes out immediately or in a short period of time then you need to look for a problem

In all my years I have never heard of a fuse getting week with age, maybe the fuse holders but not the fuse itself. As far As fuses you might get one that's bad, but the likelihood of gettin two at the same time is way out there. From what Holic says left side lights are out, which would be parking and brake. First place I would look is the left side tail light. Could be as simple as a bulb, if not he needs to look for a pinched wire. Start with the swing out trailor tongue and works it's way back

Well In my 39 years as a ASE Certified Master Technician....I have replaced a lot of blown fuses on circuits that did not have a thing wrong with them.....replaced the fuse and all was well. By the way....I have also replaced weak circuit breakers before also......they would trip and not hold....put in new one everything fine. Tell me what your explanation is please? Holics says his lights work fine now......if there was a short wouldn't the new fuse blow? Its possible that he might have a intermitant short and if so it will blow the fuse again at some point. And there is a possibility of something wrong with the fuse holder causing a loose or poor connection which would in turn cause heat build up thus blowing the fuse....but if thats the case then it should blow the new one.
