When we did the catfish tourneys, I had to get a regatta permit from the state for each tournament.

You have to have a permit for all COE lakes to hold a tournament!

I'm not sure, he wasn't the one who is usually there. He made us throw back live fish and we had to "donate" the dead fish to the fire house supposedly!

The reason is according to Ranger Rick on all coe lakes a permit is required for tournaments. No permit all live fish must be released and dead ones donated to charity. I offerd to take em but thats more than i wanted to clean.

I didn't take pics. Harrison and Driscoll had 13.5 I think. We had 12.58. Not sure about the rest.

I thought that tournament permits were only required for the big sponsored tournaments that are announced in the newspaper like MCC.........never have heard of a permit required for a small fruit jar tourney. We used to have one on a MDWFP lake every Thursday evening after work and we were not required a permit.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
