Batteries going out too fast is a real bummer. Hope these new ones do the trick.

Gets frustrating, Ms Tammy and I went to Grenada this morning and the wind got up about 730 around 20 mph and straight out of the East. Didn't take long to make the batts tired and the frustration set in. Called Jackson to the batt place where Double G got his Trojan batts and no blems so I turned around and called Memphis to the same company. They didnt have any blems either but they had the Trojan 1275 for $141 but he went on to tell me that they had a U S Brand batt that EZGO had gone to and it was $122. The stats were even a little better and it had a 24 months free replacement warranty on then. My partner was in Jackson so I called the store down there and they priced the same batt for $166.So much for partner picking em up for me.
Ms Tammy and I hopped in the truck and hauled butt to Memphis, also picked up this other little gem at Sportsmans Warehouse.

Gonna check em out in the morning. Excited about the remote as well, footcontrol is fine but can be a pain when your in the back of the boat and by yourself.

I was only getting about 3 hours out of my batteries no matter what I did, bit the bullit and bought 2 new ones. Went out yesterday and after 5 hours still had plenty of juice left, it will work. Oh I use an 80lb Terrova I-Pilot on a heavy boat.
Yeah, I am hoping for good things. Been using another trolling motor on the back to push with and supplement my 55 pound thrust minn kota. If the wind aint bad I have been able to get 5 to 6 hours out of it but the motor on the back is getting tired and eating the batt in the back and then making the front motor work harder. Gonna just use the new golf cart batts in the morning and see how long they will last without any assistance. Hate to buy another front trolling motor until this one is dead, less than a year old. Tomorrow will tell the tale.
My boat is fairly lite and the 55 will pull it 2.2 with hot batts, we'll see.

that thing is easy to put on and you are gonna like it. I usually just buy the big ole batteries from wally world. they do really good in my boat and i can fish for a couple days without needing a recharge with my new terova minkota.
Here's the link, dont want to push somethng until I know what it will do. They charged up on 6 amps and I turned em back on on 2 amps, ought to be good and hot by morning, prolly fully charged now. Eyes will be on them in the morning cause they are on their own, wont be no backup motor helping. Will post some updates if the fesh will leave me alone long enuff in the morning. Hope I can get to hole before WB and G3 in the morning, they'll still be stuffin their faces by the time I start feshing!!Thumbs UpAnd dem some UGLY faces!!!Rofl
