Did the 5 come with some glasses? I think that in Spanish you are known as an EL CHEAPO!!!!

You have no standing to criticize me since you only post 3 times a month...but since I'm so magnanimous, I'll concede that you are right. Send me 2 grand and I'll send it back and get a 10. I'll correct my mistake in the 8 on my own dime as soon as possible though.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
WB do you feel like you have been hooked? You certainly swallowed the bait hook line and sinker. lol
My idea is to always have your best equipment in front of you. In your case the solution is simple-an additional large ram mount. Considering the substantial investment you made in some of the finest equipment on the market an additional ram doesn't seem unreasonable.
For the life of me I don't understand why anyone would put a $1,500 piece of equipment eight feet behind them and have it pointed in the wrong direction. When you move to the front deck to spider rig how can it help you? As you know, unlike pulling cranks, minnow and jig fishing is a very precise presentation (enticing a strike opposed to a reaction strike) and pole and bait placement is critical to catching more than one suicidal fish.:D By all means use the GPS fuction of each unit to get to the right location but once you get there then use the HDS8 to get on top of the brushpile with all of the information the HDS8 has to offer to very carefully place your bait exactly where you want it.
Would you agree with me that for the most part your going to be fishing on Grenada, a lake you know like the back of your hand? So you won't be swapping units out very often but when money is on the line or if your on a lake you don't know very well then I'm suggesting you have the most information directly in front of you for analysis.
I like your consideration of possibly adding a second HDS5 up front. Why would anyone pay $2,700 for one HDS10 when they could have two HDS5's and save $1,000? The LSS-1 will support three FF's so what the heck.
Just something to think about.
Now get to splicing your new power wire into your trim switch instead of going to the trouble of running a clean, dedicated wire properly fused all the way to your battery!
Congrats WB.. Those are some super fine units.. I got real close... Real real close... to buying a HDS system. There screens looked brighter, the DI was ALOT better, the SI looked real good, and I really like the idea of a dedicated DI crystal. I decided to say with HB since I didn't have a spot to put the LSS-1, would have had to run a bunch more wires, and it cost more money... Are you going to buy the Nema 2000 kit and LGC4000 to get the 5x refresh rate? Or is the internal GPS just as good? The extra puck will help eliminate the error when structure is marked... Go on and get it.. LOL.. It is just money...
I expect a bunch of SI and DI screen shots by this time next week. I want to see what that thing will do..
