And he was giving her swimming lessons. Some people just don't use the brain God gave them. I hate it for his family and for the girlfriend.

when we used to ski all the time no one got out of my boat without a life jacket on unless the boat was beached, period. Water dont play and as a fairly good swimmer I have had to help several folks on the white river that had gotten in trouble in that cold water. Just aint smart and I aint wading in the ocean either, too many folks getting bit by sharks!!

I do hate to gossip, but this sounds fishy. I was at the lake Monday night and it was DEAD calm. Hard to believe his boat blew away. Also I read somewhere the lady floated up wearing two life jackets.

The lady came ashore near the swimming area at Clear Creek. She was wearing two life jackets when she came to my neighbor's house which is about a 10 minute walk down the beach.I think the boat was found somewhere toward the dam.The man's body was found somewhere in the Clear Creek area.

There's a article in the CL today about the drowning. They gave his name and age and a few details. He was 47 years old. I guess we need to make the life jacket mandatory for ALL crappie tournaments. As long as you are running, it's that hot.
