They changed boats on us at the last minute, put us on a Hatteras in stead of the origional one, what a bummer, NOT, didn't even get a chance to get a pic of her, and with a skipper named Rocky, could it get any better? We set out promptly at 2:00 and headed out to the mouth of the channel to catch our bait, thread fin, and we got a bunch of them in the live well in no time, then out a couple miles to find the Mackerel. We trolled with live bait for several hours without so much as a bite then Rocky turned her around and headed back toward home. However, after the turn, my rod took a dip, a BIG dip, FISH ON, and here we go. I pulled up and reeled down just like you're supposed to and finally got my fish to the back of the boat and what a wopper. A three pound Spanish Mac. Wow, NOT again. The only other fish to hit our lines were 3 sail cats and they aren't worth the bait it took to catch um (no offense Kitten). At lease it was a nice day and the Skipper tried extra hard to put us on fish but it just wasn't happening. Proof was when we got back to the marina, there were no good fish to be seen. Oh well, just one of those days.

Sorry to hear that! Thankfully you had nice weather, though.

Snapper & AJ season closed the day before we went so all we could fish for were Macs and Bonitas. Would have been nice to have caught more but it was a good day none the less.
