    So I took it back last night...got to the customer service desk and explained I bought it last fall and showed the girl where it snapped. Well you would've thought I was taken her paycheck by asking for em to stand behind the pole...it was the whole "no reciept thing"..this girl proceeded to tell me that the pole showed for $9 in the computer and thats all she could do towards another. I didn't get loud, but I told her it was $44.95, and if it had been $9 I would bought 20 of them...that didn't help my cause at all...just ticked her off. So she proceeded to run my basspro card # in the computer(anybody ever wonder why no on can make a decision if the computer doesn't tell you to?) and that took about 20 minutes...I stood patiently until she told me I hadn't bought anything in the last 14 months, I just so happened to have a couple of receipts from 2 weeks ago in my wallett and I showed them to her and she relunctantly told me the computer prolly had some problems. Then she told mgr would have to say ok...and I said bring him on up here. He walked up, took one look at it explained they had same pole just didn't have WM name on it and without hesistation told me to go get another and they would do even swap. Did not make "wonder clerk" happy at all. So I walked back there, there were no 10 ft rods on shelf told the guy working back there what I needed and he wanted to look at the pole. So we went back up front and he looked at it and proceeded to tell "wonder clerk" this was a 2003 model. I told him he did a mighty fine job keeping it clean on the shelf for 7 years and please go get my replacement from the back. So he did....now I'm 30 minutes into this and I get back to the front w/ the new pole, "wonder clerk" scans it, looks at me and says "that'll be $49.95"...I jsut looked at her and said, w/ eyebrows up and crooked smile "REALLY"...did we not just have this conversation w/ the MGR????? If the air head didn't call him again and start explaining the same thing she'd called him up there for 5 minutes earlier....bottom line is I got my pole, but it wasn't w/out some comedy.....sometime i wonder how people tie their shoes i nthe morning without someone telling em how.....
