    Ya'll need to give the boy some props. About 1 out of 20 of us have ladders on their boats and they very well could save his life one day if he goes in when the water is cold. Not only that, but about 1 in 50 of us could pull themselves in the boat without a ladder in situations like that.

    You make a good point. Probably the third most important piece of safety equipment; right behind life jacket and fire extinguisher.
