Had the same thing happen to me before bud. Think about it, your jigging and that bait sits there for a sec and the fish approaches, Then you twitch it and get a strike. Just a different motion and it causes a strike. I do get alot of strikes when I've been going slower, then kick it up to fast as soon as I turn up the speed. Try making hard turns in a figure S sometime. I got that from a good ole boy that USED to post on here alot. Course he's ugly a heck but a good ole boy.
